Last Day

For my last day in Beijing, I did some last minute shopping and saw Tiennamen Square. Going home......

Old Town Shanghai

Beautiful area. Hhhmm... I wonder where do you find all of the foreigners?

In front of Starbucks!

Shanghai

My first street noodles.... and it was OH SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOODDDDDD!!!! This was only 5 RMB... so roughly 80 cents?
The Bund in Shanghai

Shanghai..... so metropolitan.

...

Haggen-Daiz... what more can I say! Amazing restaurant. The restaurant itself was extremly fancy. This only cost 76 RMB... so roughly around $10ish. But it just looks beautiful!
Most hole in the wall food service would serve food in bowls covered with a plastic bag. By doing that, they won't have to wash the bowl. This was noodle with peanut-flavor sauce, served cold!

Butcher shop...spew....

On the city wall in Xian.

Terra Cotta Warrior

This was an amazing site! Just to see it in person was really amazing. Highly recommend it to everyone. :-)

Shaolin Temple

The Great Wall of China

I did the one thing I always wanted to do... well I guess something that is a part of my bucket list. I hiked the Great Wall of China. I hiked 10km going up and and down that mountain. SO CRAZY!!!! But nice.

The Night Market

The night seems to come alive in China. This is the night market. Lots of...well.... odd food.

YaY! It works!

So Blogger decided to work... good, now I can update while I watch the season finale of Desperate Housewives. :-P Most restaurant... ok the "nice" restaurant has their dishes and cup pre-wrapped. According to me Sis, they don't wash the dishes. They would send it out. Strange... I wanted to take one set home :-P
We went to a place called The Silk Road in Beijing. The store contains 6 floors of stuff!!!!! Majority were knock-offs. The sales person would try to rip you off and you would literally have to bargin. For example, I wanted to buy a shirt for me Hunny. The shirt cost 20 RMB at the Great Wall.. there, they tried to sell it for 180 RMB.

Saw the Birds Nest....from across the street. We got off the subway a stop too early. Oh well. At least I saw it! :-P

Forbidden City

My first day in China, I went checked out the Forbidden City (now called Palace Museum). It was huge and amazing. It felt like a maze.
Amazing...
That little speck is me. Me standing next to the wall outside of the palace.

Blogging while watching the last episode of Ugly Betty :-(

I am blogging my China trip while I am watching the last episode of Ugly Betty. Yes, you heard me right! The last episode. SO SAD!!!! I really like the show too. boo.....

Now on to the beginning.... the pics will be out of order...
This is some character's name that I can't remember. He is the mascot for the world fair in Shanghai. He looks like Gumby.
My second airline dinner.....yum.... yea right!
Me on the airplane with my Hello Kitty pink snuggle (yes snuggle not snuggie). I got the window seat, which was perfect since I was trying to sleep as much as possible. Which I somewhat managed to do... woke up just in time for each dinner.

Someone on Two Peas posted this. But got this at Big Lot for $5. Imagine... banners! :-)

Even more! Plus a review

I'm on a roll people! I tried another noodle... this was suppose to be like instant chow mein. And it was actually not that bad. No bad after taste. If I had a choice, I would buy more of this brand.Hey look at that! I made a layout. *about time!*
Art Supply Warehouse had their Mardi Gra (sp?) event. Went... took pics... did make and takes... bought more Copic markers :-)
Yes... I bought this! Couldn't help it. :-)

The puppies received their last shots and we took them to the dog park. Of course they were scared. :-PEnjoyed my last bowl of chowder before my passed expired. :-( Great picture! Used my digital SLR :-)
Saw Captain EO! woohoo!
For Read Across America, the teachers dressed up as characters. I was a suppose to be Peter Pan... but ended up being Robin Hood and a leprechaun. :-P

This past month, we had a lot of rain!!! I love it!
I finally got Nerdy Bird from Sassafrass. Oh so cute!!! My favorite is the little chick wearing classes. Now what to do with the papers.... need ideas....
The puppies met Egg Roll for the first time. They were super scared. And of course Egg Roll would stop playing and pose for the camera! :-)
