Jan. 2 and I am behind...
Well.. I haven't made a single card... I wanted to, but my craft area is such a mess!!! I can't navigate around it. Once that happens, I will be able to scrap and create.
Question of the day... can people change? I say yes.... if people try.

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012
What a year! But not enough scrapping :-( Let see.... got engaged, got married, quit a job, got a job, moved to our own apartment, turned 29, first holidays as a married couple, my sister came home and stayed home, trying new things and doing things that I have not done before. I look forward to this year.
For the past few years, I tried doing the one word thing (Ali Edward), but I didn't followed through with the word. I basically forgot about it. This year, my word is "hope." There are a lot of things that I hope will happen this year. I want it to happen...but all I can do is hope. I look foward to a great year. I look foward to my first anniversary as a married woman, a great scrappy year, and all the things that makes me happy.
My scrappy goal.... I originally wanted to do one layout a day... yea right! SO.... my goal is to create at least one layout a week. But I do want to attempt one card a day. I bought Papercrafts 365 cards to encourage me, plus I also have another idea book called a card a day (I think) to guide me along. I also plan to create at least one mini-album a month (my own "original"... and I put in quotation because there is not such thing really....). I also want to participate in more craft fairs and sale some goodies. Plus I have soooooo much, that I want to at least put a dent in my stuff. With that being said, I am going to add stuff to my Etsy shop (eventually).
Don't mind the ugly pic... plus me not looking at that spectacular. (I used my computer camera and I am still recovering from New Years Eve.) This a really neat book! It is called Q&A a day, 5 year journal. Basically, you answer a question each day. After doing it for a year, you go back to day one the following year and answer the same question (hence the 5 year part). It is great for reflecting what your wrote the previous year. Today's question: "What is your mission?" I like this question way more than... what is your new year's resolution.
I still need to catch up on Project Life. I decided not to do it this year. It was just soooo hard to play catch-up and remember to take pics. Instead, I will be doing a month in review. Much easier...
I am still going strong as a Close to My Heart consultant. So if you need anything, let me know! :-) They are still doing stamp of the month for $5 when you spend $50. There is a special going on where you can get a block set and a size E stamp set for $15 when you spend at least $25. Size E stamps are 8.5x11.

October Afternoon Santa Sack Sale
Usually I am not fond of mystery warehouse box sales. Why? Because I don't know what is in it and I might not like anything in it. Well... October Afternoon is having a weekly (for 5 weeks, I think) Santa Sack sale. After first I didn't want to do it. It was $50 with shipping. I thought that was a lot for an unknown box. I decided... well... I like just about everything October Afternoon makes. So I thought.. why not... plus I "accidentally" clicked on buy me on Pay Pal. So here is the load. Week 1:
doesn't look like a lot.... but there is a lot.The loose embellishments and knick-knacks.
Paper pack.
sticker/cards/pack.
I was happy with it...and may buy another one. :-P

Touch Pen
Went to Scrap Expo and was excited to find Carpe Diem there. I was hoping that they would have some cheap Copic... but nope, they had Touch Pen. I was chit chatting with (I guess) the owner of Touch Pen Co. This particular pen is also alcoholic based. Except it is much darker (as you can see in my pic... ignore the over coloring in the eyes... was careless) ... however they are limited to about 150 (don't remember) pens. They had different range of shade...but not as much as Copic. I tried asking about making extremely light colors... and he had no answer for me. In the end, I think I will stick to my Copic.
Some tidbits...
My Honey finally put up by layout display wall hanging thingy :-P I can't wait to hang up some of my layouts!
Well... this is as organized as it gets. I just have wayyyyy toooo much stuff. The tubs are used to seperate my work area and my Honey's work area. Yes... that is an ammo box that I am using as my stool :-P
New Martha deep punch. *heart*
BTW I love Knock Knock. That have such funny stuff! Got this self-inking stamp at Anthopologies (or however you spell it. Went to my first shop in San Diego with Jen). I am going to use it to make fun Christmas tags! :-)

Some projects...
I finally added some pictures to the mini-album from Artful Horizons. :-)
These two are from a Quick Quotes Class. I liked the black and white one. I can see myself making several versions of that layout. :-)
CKU-Reunion
Earlier this month, I attended CKU-Reunion in San Diego. I have been waiting for this for a long time!
Our first class, we made a pillow. It was awesome! I really liked my pillow. It was really easy! We sew some strips of fabric together. Pulled at one seam to make a rosettes. Afterward, we wrapped it around the front of the pillow. I can't wait to make some more of these for Christmas :-)
Here we are in a mixed-media canvas class. I really enjoyed it. It was different... used a lot of modge podge! But I can see myself making more mixed-media canvas using my scraps. :-)
I did the "Be Silly" album track with Michelle Hill. Yes, that is my Hello Kitty sewing machine. I *heart* my sewing machine!
Silly pictures :-)
Met Lisa Bearnson!
Overall, I had a great time. It was very different. It was not all scrapbooking. Which I enjoyed. I was able to try new things. Can't wait to do this again next year!

Knott's Haunt
Went to Haunt for my very first time last week. My Hunny and I went on a Wed....which was perfect! It was not crowded. *we loath crowds* First stop was Mrs. Knott's fried chicken... yea it was ok, not too super (check!). After a couple of shots, my camera ran out of battery!!!! I brought my charger with me so I was able to charge it for about 15 min.... however, I managed to drop my camera in the toilet! (a Canon powershot) I was sooooo sad! I was able to take a couple of pictures. But the camera was not functional all night. I had my Android phone, so I took some pictures with it.
The mazes were fun. Lots of great details. I was not scared at all... I don't get scared easily. I was giggling at the monsters. I constantly had to pull back because the monsters would literally get in your face and I felt that I might bump my head. Found my monster friend "Adam", formerly from guest research. Saw a few shows: Ed Alonzo Psycho Circus and the torture king. Overall, we had a great time and want to do it again next year!
BTW... bought a new Canon point and shoot. It is an awesome camera. I'm not too sad because the other camera was five years old and doesn't have all the great functions that this one does. I still use my Rebel T1i, not as often as I should, but I do :-)

Martha Stewart Party Crafting Tool
Arg! (picture was suppose to be horizontal) I got this tool at Michaels recently. It comes with a template used to cut a 6x6in. paper and a cutting blade. It is a very easy tool. You take a 6x6 paper and fold it in half to make a triangle. The folded side goes into the tool and you cut along the slit. Take the paper out and open it. Then fold the paper ever other way and glue/staple it together. The star was created using 6 papers. I think it is cute. Can't wait to make a bunch of these and decorate for Christmas. Yes.... you can make it without the tool.... but I like the fact that it is a no-brainer and you don't have to measure the length of the cut in order to make it even.
Went camping recently....
My friend (John) arranged a camping trip right by Lake Arrowhead. He created this group called Little Big Adventure, where we go on adventures......by trying to make it inexpensive as possible. Well, this was my first time camping.....ever. I have never, ever slept in a tent before. I have never, ever slept outside before. It was an experience.
We (me, Hunny, JP and Jess) arrived our destination Friday night. It was interesting setting up a tent at night. The ground was hard! But it was cold. Woke up super early. I never wake up early.... We went hiking. We were trying to find the Aztec dive. Where people would jump 40ft. off the side of a mountain into the water. At first we did not find it. We found a smaller area and we jumped. Me too! (the water was extremely cold!) After a futher hike, we found the area.... but the water was too shallow to jump into and we didn't want to risk it. Afterwards, we went to Lake Arrowhead for Oktoberfest...wasn't much of a fest. We back and chilled the rest of the night. WELL!!!! People on the other side of camp was noisy.... ALLLL night long. The next morning, we had kids screaming right outside our tent. ARG! We cleaned up camp, had breakfast at Lake Arrowhead and went home. Took a nice long, hot shower when I got home. Now I can use my camp scrappy papers! :-P

Some cards I've made
Am currently working part time at a craft store just for fun. Made these cards as a demo. One was for embossing (Top Box embossing pad doesn't work very well) and glitter. My Frankenstein was colored using Copic markers. :-)

Went to the Asian market the other day to buy some cheap produce.... found some Yan-Yan! I used to snack on this as a kid. Well...only the crackers.... I never liked chocolate.... so I would trade my chocolate for more crackers. :-P
