Haunted Classroom

Today at the Boys and Girls club, we created a haunted house out of our room. The kids had a blast! The younger kids walked though our house of horrors and so did the adults. I'll post some pics later!

Scrapbook Expo at Ontario

Well... I made it. Two whole days! My lower back is killing me right now. I can't bend or else it really hurts. It hurts right now just sitting here. I wish the chiro was open on Sunday. I will post my reviews and pictures tomorrow! :-)

Should be sleeping...

I should be hitting the sack right now. It's 11 p.m. and I have to be a Stoddard School at 7:15 the next morning. But here I am up, surfing and peaing. :-P

Cropping at the Oasis

Yesterday, I went to the Memory Trend Crop at the Scrapbook Oasis. It was actually quite fun. My second crop. Oddly enough, I got a lot done! :-) I can't wait to find more crops to go to. Paper Mouse is holding one during the first weekend of Novemeber. Raising money for breast cancer research. But if cost $135, and I don't have that kind of money. :-(

I got there around 10:30, they gave me a nifty name tag to wear and a special layout for the event. I met two ladies from Two Peas. I just can't remember their Peas' name at the moment. They were fun to chit chat with. Which made the event even better. :-) I knew that I was going in it alone, but it would've been very lonely if I had no one to chit chat with.

The food was ok. For lunch, we had a Mexican food sampler. There wasn't really much to feed us. I got my food last and there were only a couple of things left. Dinner, they served us homemade lasagna. It was really good. :-)

Our table won a set of color pencils. I won some MAMBI bling sticker and rub-ons. I recived the Citrus Bleu paper sampler as our paper pack.

We saw samples of the new stuff that will be coming out. They look sooooo pretty! Especially the Shimmer Bazzil! I am drooling over those! :-)

Conference Weekend

This weekend, I went to the Future Teachers Conference at Santa Monica College. There were great workshops with great ideas! :-) But first, I will start on Friday.

Well.. I was driving on the freeway on Friday to UCLA, where I was going to spend the weekend at my Sister's apartment. The sky was nice and cloudy. It looked like it was going to rain soon. The freeway was flowing and traffic was about to start. So I was driving in the furthest lane and taking my time, since I don't need to speed and we were stopping a bit. I see the person in a SUV right behind me being very impatient. Well, that person decided to change lane into the carpool lane, but was driving very close right next to me. Then he cut in front of me! I shooked my fist at him. Want to get right in front of him again, but he changed lane again and traffic hit his lane. I drove pasted me and just smiled. :-P

I wanted to hit the sack early. I did not want to be sleepy at the conference. My sister roommate invited a friend, who then invited several other friends. It became noisy! Could not sleep even if I tried. So we decided to sleep in her friend's living room in another apartment. When we thought we were safe from noise, the people next door was having a party!!!! ARG!!! I can her some chick on the balcony saying that she was so drunk. So I pretty much did not get much sleep that night at all. I was sleepy during the conference.

I went home early Sunday. I missed my silent and I missed my bed.

Kids are funny...

I was subbing for a second grade class today. I was trying to teach them a concept. And I used a real life example. It had to do something with my dad. Afterwards, I checked for understanding. The kids acted suprise that I have a dad. They were like, "you have a dad?" Silly kids. :-P

My Jungle Backyard

This is something that I plan on making a layout of. But I remember when we were young and our spa still worked, my dad was eating mango. He threw the pit into the yard and said "watch, one day we will have a mango tree." And he also did the same thing with an apple he ate. Well, look! Many years later, we have a mango tree and an apple tree. We also have a ton of other plants, but we always had those. Check it out! This is the first year we have mangos (dang it, can't thing of the grammar rule for plural). Well I think we had tiny ones last year... but this year, they grew huge!

Honest to God! These came from out tree, not store bought. I think that is so stinking neat! :-)

Here are our fresh apples. The apples really started to grow last year. They were small apples, a few grew big. The only became slighty pink. No red apples yet. The apples this year looks a bit small also. Maybe next year we will get bigger apples.

Tired...

My throat hurts. Working way too much. But I need to work enough to pay bills. Was so grump yesterday too. Plus I tripped on my network cord, which cause my laptop to drop. :-( I noticed today that the cd-rom sticks out a little and the disk drive is crack. :*-( But it looks like my cd-rom still works.

What shocks me....

What shocks me is when I look at my own blog to see if someone is actually reading it. I find that I have comments! Woohoo! :-P

LA Fair

So, I went to the LA county fair. It was actually pretty dull. Nothing too exciting. I went to check out the shopping buildings, and I felt that I kept seeing the same company or product being sold over and over again. hhmmm..... The prize for the game booths weren't too super. They did have a bungee jumping attraction. That looked fun. :-P

The only neat part was the western area they had. I made rope! The same way the people long ago did. I also made a doll out of cloth. Like little girls did, except with their daddy's handkercheif (did I spell that right? oh well).

The part that annoyed me was some kids there. I was waiting patiently for my turn to make a doll. A group of kids from some school came along and wanted to also make some dolls. When it was my turn, a girl jumped in a want to be next. But the nice lady running the booth knew it was my turn, so I went next. Rude girls.

My LO for the Croc Hunter

This is my tribute layout for the recently deceased Croc Hunter Steve Irwin. I am participating, with my fellow Peas from Two Peas, creating a tribute album. We are all creating one LO and a lovely lady has volunteer to put it all together in an album. Which she will ship to Australia at the end of the month.
This is my first time ever doing something like this. It's just so sad that Steve left the world so suddenly.

Hello to the world!

Hello! :-P

Interview Status

Well... Bonita Unified called today. They wanted me for the job. But I turned it down. After giving it much thought and findng out that I will be getting about $30 an hour. It won't be worth it to drive an hour to get there and back for two hours a day four days a week. I think I'll stick to subbing in that situation. I hope I'll get some sort of a long term sub job that will lead me to a permanent job! :-)

Continuation from yesterday....

So... yes the restrooms were dreadful!!!! EW!!!!! I could not and did not go back there. I am very good at changing with clothes on top of each other (from years of changing on the bus after parade as a marching band geek). And that is what I did afterwards at the car.

The water was really nice to be in. I wouldn't say it was relaxing because there were a lot of people. So I bumped into a few and some bumped into me. But it was nice to lie on a boogie board and float around.

Lake Perris

Today, Larry, Tony, Dad and I went to Lake Perris in Riverside. This was our second trip, except for Larry. It was suppose to be a nice trip because it is so stinking hot!!!

When arrived at our destination, there were no parking anywhere!!!! Some people were even double parking. It took us about a good 30 min before we spoted a spot. It wasn't really a marked spot, but hey! It's a spot. Plus we didn't get a ticket. :-P

I was happy to get out of the car. Well, not for the hot weather, I had to really use the rest room. They had two seperate room, one for changing and one for the toilets. And boy was the bathroom filthy!!!!!!!!!!!! It was very, very, very, VERY, gross!!! Worse than the one at Huntington Beach! There were flies everywhere!

To be continue... need to help cousin with homework.

HOT!!!!

Boy was it hot today! The thermometer in my car read 100 degrees!!!! That's is just pure crazy-ness!!! ACK!!!! WATER!!!!! I hate hot weather! I can't wait until it cools down. I love the winter weather!

Today, there was an international street fair in Orange. It was hard to find parking! Either park in the street or pay $10. And I am not going to pay $10! That could go to better use, like food or scrapbooking! :-P Lots of great food, international food. But I was not hungry. They had a massage table, I just had to get a massage. It felt realllllllllly great! I love massages. Lots of alcohol too.
