The Recorder

I decided to learn the recorder. I am going to learn on my own. Shouldn't be too hard... plus I got a nice Yamaha recorder for $3.99 at Sam Ash.

I won a new set of stamps from Hero's Art! Awesome blossom! :-) You can find it one their blog. :-) Not the acrylic ones but the ones mounted on wood. :-) They are soooooo cute!!! Made some new layouts, will post soon. Even though I am busy with work, I make time to scrapbook because it makes me happi! I want to make some mini-albums. I bought chipboards...but am drawing a blank. I am going to a crop on Sat at the Oasis. Christine is doing a charity crop for her autism run. :-) But first, need to stop by a funeral. My friend's mom died. I'm going to a quick stop to show my support. But I don't like funerals.

Little Miss Sunshine

Right now, I am watching Little Miss Sunshine. I am at the pageant section and OMG!!!! Those little girls in their bathing suits!?!?! I wonder if parents really dress their kids up like that during for pageant (the bikini). EW!!! One of the girl looks like she has been in a tanning bed. I like Olive. She is representing the normal girls. :-)

The bonus project was a the mini tag book that you put in one of those plastic thingy for a lanyard. Of course the layouts would look much better with pics.... in due time. :-P

Weekend Fun

On Sat, I went to the Stamp Expo in Carson. I stocked up on more of my favorite adhesive. Bought like 10 of 1/4'' adhesives and 5 of the 1/2'' adhesives. WOOHOO!! I ran out and was soooooo sad! I couldn't work on any projects. Then off to Disney for Deaf Awareness Day. That is a pic of my friend. He was interpreting the Star Wars Show. Met him last year when he was interpreting on my boat (at the Jungle). Jungle came back from rehab. There were a couple of changes. :-P The zebras have mohawks! hahah!!!! Trader Sam doesn't have a head dress anymore. :-( It looked a bit odd. And of course, I hate some churros! Woohoo!!!

On Sunday, Linda and I finally went to the Fashion District. Most of it was closed, but Santee Alley was open and it was busy! I got this cute little bunny there. :-) They said that it was a "minature rabbit." The lady at Petsmart said it isn't. In any case, I think the bunny is cute! :-)

I can't remember what this class was called. We made 4 different 12x12 double page layouts. A double page layout to 4 different themes.... Here is one that I have put together so far. The flower vase is actually a coffee filter. You would use it as a hidden journaling pocket, etc.

This was a cute kit I bought at the expo. It is using Maya Road 8x8 chipboard album. Bright colors! I plan on adding pictures after April (my birth month).

Rusty Pickle's Happily Ever After

I thought this LO was nice. The part that everyone hated was cutting out "Happily Ever After" by hand. It was on a card and you had to cut it out. People opted to cut around the words. I decided to do the intricate cut.

Went Whale Watching on Sunday

Went whale watching this past Sunday with my sis and my hunny. I was pretty excited because I haven't done this before and it was something I wanted to do! Well..... I saw some birds.... saw some dolphins (neat!).... saw sea lions.... but no whale! *pout*

We sat at the front of the boat. When we were sailing north, back to Balboa, the winds picked up!!! It was was making the waves pretty strong. To the point where water were splashing and making us wet! We tried to sit it out...but gave up and went to the back of the boat. Good times! :-P Ok.... that sounded too dramatic. But our pants got wet and so did our face! :-P

Saw the move Penelope today. It was a pretty good movie. CHICK FLICK! :-P I do recommend it. :-)

More projects to come....

For those who are anxiously awaiting to see the rest of the projects from the Expo, more will be up in a week. I have a busy week this week. :-)

But, I went grocery shopping! At Ralphs of course. :-) Can't find my reciept, but I bought like $110 worth of groceries, after club card and coupons, and double coupons, I saved around $62. Woohoo! :-P
