Ribbon cutter

Imaginisce has a new tool that cuts ribbon.  It also "burns" the edge so it doesn't fray.  I forgot the name of this device....

Here is the wire.  It heats up, cuts, and seals the edge of a ribbon.

end result...ta-da! 

I like this little device!  yes, I can use fray-check...but it takes forever to dry...plus it doesn't create a clean edge like this.

I *heart* this little camera. It is very similar to Maya Road. However, this is made from wood (?). It is very, very tiny!!! And oh, so cute! :-)

Took the class where we played with Luminaire Art product.

 Did you know this album has a thingy in the back so it can stand up? :-P

 They came out with a new product called Primary elements.  Where you dip your brush in it and dip it into their powder and paint on slick surfaces.

Before you can do that with ordinary Twinkling H2O.   With Primary Element, you can! :-)

 We used this embossing plate is made using tire-like material.

The enamel was melted and dye added (?).

Poured it and waited a few minute...then add some color.  :-)

I was not able to take Tool School class... :-(  But had to make money first.  So nothing there......

Took a Theresa Collins class on the stamp machine.  I think it is a really neat tool that will make really great detailed stamps... but will I use it enough for the cost... probably not.  One of the design team member took a stamped image of her baby's feet, shrunk it, and made a stamp with it.  Was such a cute idea! 

Then I went to the Innovation show case of all things that is new at CHA.  One company had a hot glue gun that runs off of USB port.

 This is Prima's idea.  The letters snaps onto a base and you can stamp letters evenly. 

 A sample of the letter spacing.  It's a good tool for those who are anal (that's me...sometimes....) the spacing is way tooo wide for me.  Especially if I want to stamp on a small space.

 Took a class where we made a journal using a new die for Spellbinders and wrapping wires.  We used this tool here we twist wires tightly until it popped off.

CHA-W 2012 *the first post*

Technically this is my first CHA post...but I will be posting pics and stuff and this post will become last.  Oh well.  CHA was great.  I start my CHA on Saturday.  Took some classes.  Helped Westcott set up their booth.  Then Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday!  Ran into old friends, put a face to a friend's name/posting, met new friends.  So overall, I had a nice time.  Despite the fact that people (including me) started feeling dizzy (no air ventilation) and a lousy thing happend (that I don't want to talk about).

I am here!!!! Day 1 of CHA. Well take lots pics and post lots of pics!

Fiskars' Jenni Bowlin punch

Fiskars hooked up with Jenni Bowlin and created some cute punch with her.  I was able to get two at Joanns.  The one on the left is a file tab and the right is a ticket border punch.  There were three others, a bird, city scape border punch, and a photo frame (really small), but I was not interested in it.  I want to get the joker border punch and banner w/ scallop punch.  But they ran out.

I will be attending CHA and will be posting what I see!  More to come! :-)

t mini album

 I finally finished and put together, with journaling and some pictures, the mini-album from a Maggie Holmes class at Reflections a couple of years ago.  I didn't go to the first reflection, so I actually bought this cute (since I love Maggie's work, and really enjoyed making her album when I attended the event the second year).  This album is roughly 4x6.

 The theme of the album is "I am..." and you talked about things that described you.  I was able to relate to some of the things that Maggie put in her album.

 I am....free, creative, silly, etc.

Me and the Hubby have been trying to take out this little man as much as possible.  Actual conversation:
L.M: Are we going to see the animals?
Me: Yes.  What kind of animal do you want to see?
L.M.: A pig.
Me: Ok...how about an elephant, a tiger, or a bear?
L.M.: No, a pig.

Jan. 2 and I am behind...

Well.. I haven't made a single card... I wanted to, but my craft area is such a mess!!! I can't navigate around it.  Once that happens, I will be able to scrap and create. 

Question of the day... can people change?  I say yes.... if people try.

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

What a year!  But not enough scrapping :-(  Let see.... got engaged, got married, quit a job, got a job, moved to our own apartment, turned 29, first holidays as a married couple, my sister came home and stayed home, trying new things and doing things that I have not done before.  I look forward to this year. 

For the past few years, I tried doing the one word thing (Ali Edward), but I didn't followed through with the word.  I basically forgot about it.  This year, my word is "hope."  There are a lot of things that I hope will happen this year.  I want it to happen...but all I can do is hope.  I look foward to a great year. I look foward to my first anniversary as a married woman, a great scrappy year, and all the things that makes me happy. 

My scrappy goal.... I originally wanted to do one layout a day... yea right! SO.... my goal is to create at least one layout a week.  But I do want to attempt one card a day.  I bought Papercrafts 365 cards to encourage me, plus I also have another idea book called a card a day (I think) to guide me along.  I also plan to create at least one mini-album a month (my own "original"... and I put in quotation because there is not such thing really....).  I also want to participate in more craft fairs and sale some goodies.  Plus I have soooooo much, that I want to at least put a dent in my stuff.  With that being said, I am going to add stuff to my Etsy shop (eventually). 


Don't mind the ugly pic... plus me not looking at that spectacular.  (I used my computer camera and I am still recovering from New Years Eve.)  This a really neat book!  It is called Q&A a day, 5 year journal.  Basically, you answer a question each day.  After doing it for a year, you go back to day one the following year and answer the same question (hence the 5 year part).  It is great for reflecting what your wrote the previous year.  Today's question: "What is your mission?"  I like this question way more than... what is your new year's resolution.

I still need to catch up on Project Life.  I decided not to do it this year.  It was just soooo hard to play catch-up and remember to take pics.  Instead, I will be doing a month in review.  Much easier...

I am still going strong as a Close to My Heart consultant.  So if you need anything, let me know!  :-)  They are still doing stamp of the month for $5 when you spend $50.   There is a special going on where you can get a block set and a size E stamp set for $15 when you spend at least $25.  Size E stamps are 8.5x11.
