Some updates

The small dog side of the the dog park opened recently. Took Egg Roll. She sniffed around and rolled around in the grass. Now lets see how long the grass will last... Shop Hop started yesterday. Went to a lot of stores and got a lot of charms and make-and-takes. Got a lot of goodies too :-)

My Hunny's bro started working at the range.

I started my job at Disney.

Want to scrap more... but have been so irritated with my scrap area for some odd reason... need to reorganize and rethink.

Martha Stewart's circle cutter

Bought the new circle cutter at Michaels today. I can't remember the price...but I used my coupon! :-P The circle cutter can cut a 4 inch circle to 12 inches at 1/8 increment. The center is used to store extra blade. I love the fact that the blade cover is bigger and easier to handle. Notice the big plastic circle? Before, it didn't not have that. Once I sliced my finger because it fell off and I didn't notice it. So the big circle tells me that the safety cover is on.
The knob with the blade sits locked and covered. You pull the knob up to adjust the size of the circle (took me forever to figure that out... didn't read the instructions :-P) The arm of the ruler contains fuzz on the bottom (reminds me of a brush). You turn your know and there you have it! I highly recomend a glass mat. Cuts smooter. I have two! :-P

New EK Punch

So grumpy today... everywhere I go, horrible customer service!!! HORRIBLE!!! Waited at a Burger King to get a coke slurpee... which is not available.... for 10 minutes to get a drink. People at Bank of America was just plain rude. A man told me that he just closed his account because the service was just plain horrible. Went to a Michaels by me, suppose to be a nice Michaels... but they are slow to get any products! Went to a different Michaels (because I need to get toner at Office Max) and found that they had new products. Woohoo! This is the new large punch, which made it debut at CHA. Retailed for $17.99 but I used my 40% off coupon.
Here is the new punch next to the small one, so you can see the size difference. Pretty large. There were a few other ones, but I liked this one. :-)

Doily #3, 6, 7 & 8

Blog Hop result will be post on Aug. 2nd... in the mean while, my doilies (aka, Christina Middlecamp's tutorial/project). Once again, Blogger decided to flip my images. Did not mean to upload the images sideways. I managed to complete the first two rows. So far this is what the complete project looks like. This is doily #7. Once again, did not have a lot of items that Christina used in her doily. Here is my interpretation, aka using what I have. Not my favorite... oh well.
Doily #8... was mad that I was not able to find my 1 inch circle punch (need to reorganize and label everything, again!). I went out and bought the Making Memories Flea Market chipboard & clear clock faces at Target. Always looked at it...but never had a reason to buy them... now I do! :-P

Doily #3... didn't want to do this project without using the exact blue flowers that Christina used. I like the way this one came out :-)

Doily #6.... Do you see the blue? Well, it's suppose to be layers of scrap blue papers... but it is covered by everything else that you can't tell... oh well :-P

Kelly Goree's Reflection Class

To participate in the Christmas in July blog hop context, scroll down to the original post.
Sorry... once again it loaded sideways... weird.
Kelly Goree is a designer for Basic Grey. We created a couple of layouts in her class. Kelly's biggest thing was saving every single scrap and using really thing scraps (.5"x6").
No Title yet... :-P

Kelly Purkey's Reflection Class

For some odd reason it is loading sideways...
In Kelly's class, we made a few layouts. Here layouts was cute. We did a lot of heat embossing.

My Favorite Drummer!

Blog Hop is right below. :-)

Wow...

If you would like to enter the blog hop raffle, click and leave a comment here. I was walking around South Coast Plaza... while my sister was shopping, I found this display outside of Paper Source (love that store). A large flower using envelopes! Love it!

Yes, it's sideways. But this was pretty cute. We used embroidery hoops. The problem with the project was that she wanted us to use the pattern paper as is, meaning no support. I figured, no, bad idea, it will rip! So I backed it with a chipboard. We learned a different way to make ribbon flowers.

Doily #5

In order to enter the blog hop raffle, click here. Here is the next doily... slowly but surely... yes, it's sideways. :-P One of the layer consists of buttons, blings, and brads. I believe this one is the thickest one so far...

Etsy Updated & Ornament

Hello Blog Hoppers! I updated my Etsy with a few more items and will be adding more soon. So, keep on checking! Also, I will be adding more ideas and things that goes with the holiday on this blog. I know it is like... several months away... but it is better to start now than be stressed out later. I have already started my Christmas shopping! :-P Now on to the ornament.

Every year, my Hunny's family would get together for Christmas Sunday. Basically the Sunday before Christmas. They would have a great feast (goooooood food!), sing Happy Birthday to Jesus, and exchange gifts. Every year, I would make cards and an ornament. Below is an ornament that I will be giving out this year.

This was a make and take with Tim Holtz (love him!). See the roof? That is actually a metal corner with some silver acrylic paint (to look like snow). Actually... I was suppose to make these and give them out last Christmas, but I was soooo overwhelmed with the master program that I did nothing! :-( Now I have more free time to focus on this project.

Meet Tristan

This is Tristan. Senette's and Adrian's second son. So cute :-)Uncle Joey holding Tristan. 2 days old.

Day four (yes, I skipped day 3)

Yes... I skipped it and will come back. Doily #3 used October Afternoon paper and I liked the way it looked. I thought I had some... but I only had scraps. For this technique, you take old pictures and scan the writing on the back. Print out the scanned image..... and there you go!
Doily #4... this one involved a couple of layers. The one thing I liked the most was take a label sticker and backing it.

Found out that Shopie Kinsella's book, "Mini Shopaholic" will be available in September. So excited! I love the shopalic series. :-)

Project Life...

Well, that's not happening. I am behind, 7 months, 14 days. So I am going to use my other album I made to document what went on each month. I will start Project Life next year.

I Love 7gypsies

One of my favorite scrapbook company. They are pretty close to me, I wonder if I can drive to their warehouse... hhmm... :-P

Doily #2 & Card #1

Card #1 - Resist technique. Stamp an image and emboss it with clear embossing powder. Paint over it (I used a paint dabber). Wipe paint off of stamped image. Ta-dah! Very popular technique amongst artists such as Tim Holtz and Heidi Swapp. Doily #2 - Once again, used my own stuff. I don't have everything Christine has and I want to use what I already have. For this doily, I did a lot of layering.

No #2 :-P

My head hurts... not getting enough sleep lately. My body had a weird reaction so I am itchy... ALLL OVER. And I can not sleep because I would wake up every hour scratching. Plus went to expo, dog park, etc.... I looked at the instructions for the next doily and it said that doily #2 will take more time to make. So will do it tomorrow! Plus need to buy clear embossing powder.
