Monday

I got my computer back today! It is so nice to have it back and type on my own keyboard that I am so used to! :-)

Today was my interview at New Hall District. It was a little over an hour drive!!! I only hit traffic for about 10 minutes. But traffic wasn't too bad. I think I did ok, not too super that I can feel that confident about. I HATE HATE HATE interview because I get extremely nervous that I go blank! I hate not being able to answer "why I want to teach." I know that I want to teach because it is something that comes naturally to me and that I want to teach kids to be good citizen... Yea, that answer sucked I think. Well... not so much really. It is just that I don't know what they want to hear. I don't to say "because children are our future." The writing portion, where I have to write a mock letter, I felt I did pretty well on. See?!?! I can do it. I just hate interviews. I just wish they would ask me other questions other than why I want to teach. In my opinion, that is a really dumb question. *sarcastically* yes, I teach because I know I get to go home at three, have the weekends and summer off. RIGHT?!?! I wish they ask me other things like, how would you approach a specific topic. They also asked me how I would go about creating a lesson. Not a hard question, use the state standards and create lessons based on student's ability. The last question was, "what makes up a lesson plan." Once again, what kind of answer do I give them for that? I said, well... standards, materials, modification. I hated that question too. Ggrr...

Went to Savanna and Garden Grove school district. Based on edjoin, they are accepting applications for an open pool of teachers... hhmm... guess I have to wait and see. Keep your fingers cross!

Based on "Why I want to teach" question, I started a list:

1. Teach kids to be a good citizen for society
2. I enjoy working with kids
3. I have a lot to offer in the field of education
4. Teaching comes naturally to me
5. Impact students' lives
6. Future impact (aka: seeing my own students succeed)
7. have a passion for teaching
8. to see the shine on kid's face when they learned something new
9. a very full filling profession (what that even spelled correctly?)

What do you think? *leave comments! :-) *

So I worked READ 180 after school today. It should be pretty interesting. Extra work and extra pay.

Since I have my Becky Higgins sketch book and my cherry blings... I seriously need to stop spending money. Me <--- poor Asian girl

Joy.... Monday....
